RTLD offers the diverse talents of Robert Tant, an award winning lighting designer practicing architectural lighting design for fourteen years. We are prepared to address a wide range of projects and problems with the imagination of an artist coupled with the technical knowledge necessary to deliver creative excellence in every project. Beginning in lighting design in 1985  he worked as a lighting designer on a number of architectural lighting projects.  Those projects included prestigious hotels, corporate headquarters, office buildings, office environments, churches, residences, medical facilities, restaurants, signage, ocean cruise ship, memorials, special events, custom retrofit design, retail stores, landscape lighting, atrium spaces, airport interior, historical renovation, fountains, water features, banks, library, broadcasting studios, building identification, schools, artwork & sculptures as well as other types of interior and exterior projects. During this time he also provided innovative design in the development of a new company "Engineered Lighting Products". Robert contributed to the original patents attained by ELP, providing research, design and development which culminated in a unique line of interior and exterior  specialty lighting  products. Robert Tant established RTLD in 1989. A diverse design background combined with related construction experience; RTLD offers a dynamic individualist insight into architectural lighting projects. With experience in environmental design, graphics and product development as well as architectural rendering, sculpture, fine art  and assorted hands on construction experience, RTLD offers a very diverse  portfolio.      RTLD has participated at the highest levels of lighting design and continues to expand with a diversity of project types.  Projects have ranged from large custom private homes, to noteworthy casino projects with construction cost in excess of five hundred  million dollars. With years of experience in creative problem solving we strive to provide cost effective solutions with attention to detail accompanied by bringing in projects on time and within budget.  With experience in the "Las Vegas market", RTLD knows the importance of a follow through service particularly for design built projects.  Robert Tant attended the Parson’s School of Design in New York City and the Art Center College of design in Pasadena, California, studying environmental design on both coasts of the United States in the early 80s.
